Copenhagen Jazz Festival takes place at more than 120 venues throughout Copenhagen. The festival runs for ten consecutive days and starts on the first Friday of July. Check out the program here at Jazz.dk
Advance booking
Tickets are to be bought seperately to all concerts. You will find the official ticket providers via Jazz.dk. We recommend that you buy your ticket in advance for all major concerts, as they can be sold out.
Tickets at the door
Every venue will sell tickets at the door, provided that the concert is not sold out. Some venues only sell tickets at the door.
Gift cards
Copenhagen Jazz Festival does not offer any gift cards, but we recommend that you buy one at Billetlugen, which is the festival’s preferred ticket partner. Find out more about gift cards at billetlugen.dk. Gift certificates for all concerts in DR Koncerthuset need to be purchased via their own ticket sales here.
Free concerts
In the program you will find a great number of free concerts. Also check out Jazz.dk and look for all the concerts marked with ‘Free admission’.
At our online shop you can buy art posters, festival t-shirts, the printed program and other kinds of merchandise from this year as well as previous years. You only pay the actual shipping cost. Visit our webshop – here.
Printed program
The printed program provides you with a general view of all the concerts at the festival. The program is free, published approx. five weeks before the festival begins, and is distributed in every music venue and library in Copenhagen – as well as in selected cultural institutions, cafés and libraries in Aarhus, Odense and Sealand. An international guide in English will be available prior to the official festival start.

Further activities and attractions in Copenhagen
If you plan to take a break from all that jazz, the city offers lots of activities and attractions. Go to VisitCopenhagen to see what’s going on in Copenhagen – here.
Caterers
Many venues have contracts with caterers, serving food before the concerts or in its immediate vicinity. This includes outdoor concerts at Islands Brygge, Vandkunsten, Sankt Hans Torv, Amagerbro Torv, Blågårds Plads, Balders Plads, as well as festival venues at cafes and restaurants. Check the venue before the concert to make sure if food is available or not.
Waste and toilet facilities
Copenhagen Jazz Festival collaborates with the Copenhagen Municipality to keep the city clean and cosy. Don’t forget to pick up your waste and put it in the nearest waste bin. Toilets are available at the venues. At outdoor concerts we refer to the nearby cafes and bars that provide food and/or drinks during the event. Additionally, there will be public toilets at The Kings Garden.
Photography and video
There might be restrictions towards photography and recording at the concerts. We recommend you to check out the venues’ own regulations or ask one of our volunteers at the event before bringing your camera. As a general rule we advice you to not use flash at any time during concerts.
Disabled
For information regarding accessibility, facilities and assistants, please contact the venue in question before the concert.
Children
Copenhagen Jazz Festival is by no means only for adults. In fact, we have a very special Jazz for Kids program which offers a range of different concerts and events. You can find out more about it in our printed program or in our Jazz for Kids folder. The performing artists are all professional jazz musicians, presenting jazz of the highest quality for children by involving all senses through music, dance, storytelling and visual art.
