HUSET (also known as Huset i Magstræde) is Denmark's oldest cultural centre, hosting around 1,100 annual events and major festivals within music, performing arts, film and the spoken word. The centre is the setting for around 500 concerts in all genres and styles.HUSET is a platform for many different cultural creators and volunteer organiser groups and offers a wide range of cultural events through volunteerism and co-creation. These include live music acts, performing arts, an extensive board game café, atypical film experiences and cult films, delicious food experiences, poetry slams and much more. For four decades, HUSET has shaped the Copenhagen underground and been a breeding ground for a long line of prominent Danish and international artists. HUSET provides space for both the creative growth layer and professional practitioners.
