Vinterjazz 2021 is cancelled: National COVID restrictions extended to February 28

At a press conference on Thursday January 28, the Danish Prime Ministry announced an extension of the current restrictions in connection with the ongoing COVID pandemic. Thus, the intensified measures will continue for the time being until and including February 28.

As a consequence of the extension, Vinterjazz 2021 is now officially cancelled. We had hoped to be able to present physical concerts in some format, but the latest developments sadly do not allow for this year’s festival to go forward as planned.

The restrictions, originally introduced on December 15, affect the entire country, forcing cultural institutions to keep indoor areas closed to the public. This includes theaters, concert halls, venues, museums, art galleries, culture houses and cinemas.

The current restrictions apply to all Danish municipalities up to and including February 28 2021.
