Like Kurt Vile, whose band he once played guitar for, Gunn has a knack for crafting songs that casually blend genres such as blues, indie, and psych-folk. Despite their apparent simplicity, his songs resonate deeply with listeners, characterized by their warm and dreamy sound. Over his 15-year career, Gunn has been part of numerous exciting collaborations with the likes of Mary Lattimore, David Moore, Bridget St. John, Circuit des Yeux, and Jeff Parker. Steve Gunn’s most recent solo album, Other You, released on Matador Records in 2021, was hailed as his life-affirming work. Following Other You, ALICE originally planned to host a Steve Gunn concert in 2022, which unfortunately had to be canceled. It is therefore a tremendous pleasure to welcome him back to Copenhagen this February, where he will take the stage at ALICE with his new solo album.
