P.D.A. is the new collaboration between the Swiss pianist Margaux Oswald and the Norwegian guitarist Hein Westgaard, both based in Copenhagen. The duo intimately explores the relationship between the piano and the guitar through the vehicle of free improvisation.
Margaux Oswald is a pianist of French-Filipina origin, born in Geneva, and currently based in Copenhagen. She has played the piano since the age of 5, and is now committed to the art of free improvisation.
Hein Westgaard is a Norwegian guitarist, improviser and composer, currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition to his own genre-bending Hein Westgaard Trio mixing folk, rock, country, free jazz and disco, he can be heard in the post-minimalistic quartet Ototoi, working with conceptual sound-art with Ensemble Ektos, in duo with the Lithuanian double bassist Aurelijus Uzameckis or the New Zealand pianist Alexander Ventling, playing ad-hoc free improvised constellations, or simply performing in the solo aco...
