David Hazeltine Trio (US)

Classic jazz DKK 375 DKK

Pianist David Hazeltine has been a regular part of New York's vibrant jazz scene for decades, where he was mentored by trumpeter Chet Baker as a young man. The two played several successful concerts and their careers took off from there.

Inspired by the greatest post-war saxophonists such as Charlie Parker and John Coltrane, he plays with a solid and nuanced expression that has constantly renewed and interpreted how traditional jazz can be played.

His style and expression have brought him to the biggest stages - from Carnegie Hall in NYC to festivals all over the world.

Along the way, he has collaborated with important artists such as Ron Carter, Al Foster, Louis Hayes, Peter Washington, Joe Farnsworth, Eric Alexander and George Mraz.

Joining him at Montmartre are the two younger jazz comets, Paolo Benedettini on bass and Xaver Hellmeier on drums.
