We'll round off Vinterjazz 2026 with a round of doom jazz when Nausia stops by Stengade. This evening also features Neðanfari's debut concert.
Nausia:
After years of steady outputs and extensive touring, Nausia is now ready to put their new full length ‘Finding A Circle’ into steady waters. Spanning from high-intensity fretting, with a repetitive horn-section backed up by sharp and tight percussion, we cross the palette and are catapulted with reminiscents of transcendental, free-jazz and the avant-garde. Created in close collaboration with producer Jacob Günther, the album reflects a strong musical camaraderie and a desire to find solace amidst the storm of turbulent youth, climate collapse, and dystopian futures. Expect a work that is spiritual, intense, jazzy, doomy, and cohesive – cementing Nausia as a profoundly original band in constant development and one of Denmark’s most compelling jazz-rock acts.
