In September 2024, she released her first single, “Perişan”, which received significant attention for its unique sound and emotional vocals. In April 2025, she followed up with the single “Sultan”, which likewise earned praise for its intense, boundary-breaking sound and was nominated for DMA Roots 2025 in the category “Danish Roots Track of the Year.” Shortly after, Hilal was also nominated as “New Danish Roots Artist of the Year” at DMA Roots 2025, cementing her position as one of the most promising new voices on the Danish music scene. Hilal now plans to enter the studio in January 2025 to complete her upcoming album, expected to be released in 2026.
Hilal gave her first concert at the Resonator Festival, where she impressed audiences with her powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence. Since then, she has performed at events such as P8 Jazz Sessions 2024 and the Vinterjazz Festival, where her sold-out concerts were met with great acclaim from both audiences and critics. She also played to a full tent at the SPOT Festival 2025 and at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. In November 2025, Hilal Kaya will perform at MIX Festival in Istanbul.
