A Plane to Catch consists of some of Denmark’s leading young jazz musicians and plays exclusively original compositions. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Maceo Parker, Fela Kuti, Al Green, Eddie Harris, and James Brown, A Plane to Catch came to life in the spring of 2021, when five young Danish jazz musicians met late one night at Bolsjefabrikken in Copenhagen. They listened to funk, afrobeat, soul, and Motown, and began jamming groove-based music. The vibe was electric, and they kept meeting week after week. The band was born — united by a shared goal of igniting dancing feet, shaking hips, and unforgettable parties — and that same energy continues to drive this exceptional groove band today.
