Following their collaboration at Vinterjazz 2025, composers Callum Builder and Nick Martin continue their Chiasm project with newly written works for string ensemble. 

Exploring ideas of immersion and cycles, composer-performer Calum Builder (AU/DK) creates works that move from a clarifying stillness to a zealous, almost religious fervor. He is fascinated by sound being a transformative and embracing force, with his music “bringing about a symbiosis of overflowing beauty and rumbling disturbances” (T.S Høeg, Jazz Special).

Nick Martin (UK/DK) is a Copenhagen-based composer whose music has been described as causing “quiet devastation” (Simon Smith, Higher Plain Music). His work encompasses a wide range of forms, including solo, ensemble, choral, and orchestral music. In addition to his compositional work, Martin performs his own music through his project Blue Luminaire, which released its debut album, Terroir, on Bella Union in 2022.
