From the beginning, Karl William has moved from the Aarhus collective Hukaos and the Danish underground into the center of the Danish music scene.
He is driven by a restlessness and an inner compass that constantly pulls him toward the extremes. It’s in that tension that the energy emerges - and where he returns when the world becomes too tidy.
His music has a distinctly melancholic core. The works that resonate most with him are those where melancholy and truth lie closest together. He isn’t interested in delivering the expected. The story begins with the EP Døende (2014), followed by Placebo (2015), Livet (2016), Livet, faldet & alt det andet (2018), REN (2022), and most recently Langsomt er den hurtigste vej frem (2024). The new album slows the tempo in order to say more with less.
