Join us for a special performance of Astrid Engberg’s new album Cracks in the beautiful Graf Hall of Thorvaldsens Museum, as part of Vinterjazz 2027.
With an expanded band, the Danish singer and composer invites audiences to a one-night-only performance in this unique setting: “I’m incredibly excited about the concert at Thorvaldsens Museum. It will be a unique performance of the album and the realisation of a musical dream I’ve had for a long time.”
Already receiving critical acclaim, the album was awarded six stars by GAFFA and marks a move towards a more accessible and acoustic jazz sound in Astrid Engberg’s body of work. The album explores presence and a sensual awareness of the world around us. The evening is therefore an invitation to slow down and let the music unfold within the museum’s historic surroundings.
Doors open at 7.30 pm. As there is unfortunately no foyer area, we kindly ask audiences not to arrive before 7.3...

ABOUT THE ALBUM CRACKS
What if paying attention has become a radical act? This is a question that runs through *Cracks*, the third album by Danish composer, producer and vocalist Astrid Engberg. Based in Copenhagen, Astrid turns her back on the relentless pace and increasing digitalisation of modern life, choosing instead to celebrate the moments that most people pass without noticing: a woman blowing soap bubbles outside her daughter’s kindergarten, teenagers skipping rope in a city square, sunlight catching the glint of her partner’s earrings, a young boy chasing pigeons, a comforting phone call with a sister, the silence of a church in Assisi, Italy.
