Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen is a Danish-American saxophonist, composer and a multi-instrumentalist who lived in Amsterdam, Berlin and New York for over a decade. She is a graduate of both The Music Conservatory of Amsterdam and The Rhythmic Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen. Today, she lives in Denmark, and continues to lead her own local and international ensembles, including the duo “The Home of Easy Credit” and the improvising punk band “Sweet Banditry”, as well as compose for various other ensembles, including “Wet Ink Ensemble”. She co-runs the label “Marsken Records” with her husband, Tom Blancarte.

Nana Pi is a Copenhagen-based saxophone player, composer and conductor working mainly within the experimental jazz scene. She has developed “Extemporize”, a music sign language she primarily uses in the large ensemble “Extemporize Orchestra”. In 2020, she received the P8 Jazz Award "Soul of the Year" for her perseverance and creativity in working to stimulate and expand people's musical language and horizons. She is part of the record label “Barefoot Records” where she released a new album "Sentiment" with her group "Nezelhorns". She plays in groups like Jesper Zeuthen’s “Store Claus”, “Hey Nana, I’m Halym” and “Coriolis”.
Tom Blancarte is an improvising bassist whose career started in New York City, where he was a member of various bands such as “Seabrook Power Plant”, “The Gate” and “The Peter Evans Ensemble”. Since relocating to Denmark, he has been focusing on developing a unique language for solo bass performance and continuing to work with his wife, Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen as both an improvising duo, “The Home of Easy Credit”, as well as the organizers behind the record label “Marsken Records”.
Halym Kim is a drummer and composer based in Copenhagen. In his own music he is researching new possibilities to transfer elements from the traditional Korean music into the contemporary improvised music. He took his bachelor in Dresden and his master at RMC in Copenhagen and is doing now his advanced postgraduate diploma at RMC. Halym Kim has released a new album "My Illusion of Korea" with his group ”Bijul” released on "Barefoot Records". He plays with the ensemble "Spirit of the Hives" by Jacob Anderskov, "Hey Nana I'm Halym" and "INklang".

Look forward to get inspired, touched, surprised and challenged, when the artist-collective Barefoot Records for the 12th year in a row invites to a small exclusive festival inside the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. The charming old courtyard of Galleri Krebsen in the very centre of Copenhagen is the perfect frame to open up your ears with a beer in your hand. The programme consists of some of the most interesting artist from the European scene for improvised music, with international guests, award-winning groups, new meetings and compositional experiments. Barefoot Records was founded in 2006 and has been called “one of the most interesting new labels in Danish jazz” by All About Jazz. The collective consists of 8 musicians from Denmark, Poland, Ireland, Noway and Sweden, which have together released 70 albums so far.
