Eclectic bass player Thiago Duarte (Brazil) first met flutist Lorenzo Colocci (Italy) in Berlin, in 2018, starting an intense creative collaboration that would bring them through an exciting path of creative exchange.
On the occasion of Summer Jazz Cph 2022, they decided to reunite with Susana Nunes, a Portuguese performer, composer, producer and mixed-media artist based in Copenhagen, to form the band SAMBAL ÖLEK; they will perform traditional and newly composed music from South America, bringing some sun over this edition of Summer Jazz 2022!
