Agnes Persson is a new exciting young guitarist and composer on the Scandinavian jazz scene. It’s been one year since she released her highly acclaimed debut album ”In Collaboration With Flowers” with her quartet on the Malmö-based label Havtorn Records. On the album she presents eight original tunes, that together creates a compelling sphere where energetic improvisations meet introspective compositions. Airy harmony is mixed with both soft and bold melodies, that give space for free elements as well as powerfully arranged parts. This evening she will perform on trio with saxophone player Simon Pehrson Balvig, who plays on the record, and with Stockholm-based bass player Jon Henriksson.
