The music of Laust Moltesen is energetic and humorous. The lyrics are rich in images: describing bodily components, the properties and virtues of animals and sediments of time in natural phenomena. The music and the guitar playing is a melting pot of west African strings, vintage blues and choral music.

Humanoid Silhouette is an experimental group working with the sound ideals of avant-garde jazz and noise rock. These genres have been fused on the EP’s “Mind Eats Body” and “Memories in a Shroud of Mist”, released in 2020. Since then the line-up has expanded and the band now consists of four saxophones, guitar, electric bass and drums. The new septet material is informed by the forms and structures of modern classical music.

Their riffs have been stretched, chopped and reduced to pulsating mechanical constructions, in which unexpected harmonic changes and new combinations will appear to the patient listener.
