A fascinating musical journey is planned for this evening at Nimb Roof. Although we are situated in the heart of Copenhagen, the atmosphere and music will be unmistakably Brazilian. Alexander Kraglund is considered one of the absolute best violinists of the Brazilian music tradition and has captivated audiences at home as well as abroad. Alexander’s talent has garnered international recognition, not least when back in 2012 he performed several concerts with the legendary choro group "Época de Ouro" live on Radio Nacional - Rio de Janeiro. Since then, he has appeared with a great many of Brazil’s top instrumentalists, including choro guitarist and composer Rogerio Souza, singer Thaís Motta and drummer Afonso Corrêa.

On Nimb Roof, Alexander will be joined by Brazilian bassist Romulo Duarte, who with his musical mastery has made his way to the top of the Brazilian music scene in the company of, e.g. Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, Hamilton de Holanda...

On drums is Jonas Johansen, who in addition to being a living legend on the Danish jazz scene, is also known for his collaboration with Brazilian pianist and singer Eliane Elias. All this is intertwined with the talent of guitarist Jeppe Holst, who with matchless musical performance invites us to explore every beat and harmony of their musical world. Together, the four musicians unfold the virtuosity of the choro, the poetry of the boss nova and the captivating rhythms of the samba in amazing harmony.
