Over the last couple of years, 35 year old Rolf Thofte has established himself as one of the most remarkable Danish trumpeters of his generation. Thofte has performed and recorded with Kathrine Windfeldt Bigband, Aarhus Jazzorkester, DR Bigband, Thofte/Thorsen Quintet and as a sideman with a long list of the best jazz musicians in the country. Now he has formed his new band consisting of some of the most prolific, younger players on the scene. The quintet plays Thofte original compositions and give a fresh take on the classic jazz quintet format.
