Singer-song-writer with a twist / Pernille Rübner-Petersen

Free admission

Pernille Rübner-Petersen presents songs from her three albums: The Book of the Mermaid, When I Was a Soldier, Becoming Human – and brand new songs, also in Danish.

In a musical tour de force, PR-P ventures far and wide across genres - and often across them. With a background in theatre - and film, she brings dramatic edge and nerve to her songs.
Her musical expression has been compared to Laurie Anderson, Sinéad O'Connor, and Portishead, but mostly she is definitely her own.
Morten Wamsler, Diskant.dk, on the release of her debut The Book of the Mermaid: ".. with this album, Pernille Rübner-Petersen enters the music scene with an authority that one must look abroad to find its equal."
Ivan Rod, Gaffa: ".. there is an unmistakable storyteller in Pernille Rübner-Petersen. A storyteller who can not only write, but also compose and sing, to a breath-taking delight."
