Dansekoncert med Trypical Cumbia (præsenteret i samarbejde med Copenhagen Jazz Festival)

Together with the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, we invite children of all ages to dance when Trypical Cumbia enters the stage. Expect Latin notes with inspiration from the genre Cumbia, originating from the Caribbean part of Columbia.

Cumbia is a music genre from the 1950s that is now widespread throughout Latin America - it is street music with an energy that can entice most people to dance to the both sensual and dance-friendly Latin tunes. The orchestra has previously played at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in Pumpehuset's city garden.

The five members of Trypical Cumbia have roots in Columbia, Chile and Denmark, but the orchestra started here in Copenhagen. They play a mix of carefully selected songs and instrumental music from Columbia, Chile, Nicaragua, Peru and Brazil as well as their own compositions. There is pace, energy and joy when the colorful orchestra takes the stage with a multitude of instruments, hats and the very special Latin energy.
