Vejslev and Brunbjerg play together in the trio Vejslev/Brunbjerg/Elhøj, where through years of
intense collaboration, they have managed to create their own sound within the jazz standard
repertoire. The group started as a musical playground or a jazz laboratory where the three
members explored jazz and improvisational music from all corners. They are able to merge new
currents from across the Atlantic with Nordic minimalism and everything in between these two
worlds. For this duo concert, they will now explore some of the lesser-played jazz standards by

On Martin Brunbjerg:
Martin Brunbjerg Rasmussen is a Danish double bassist who is widely known for his role as a
member of the critically acclaimed trio Little North. With a passion for both modern and traditional
jazz, he has shaped his own expression on the double bass and created a unique musical voice.
Martin has shared the stage with names such as Joel Ross, Rudi Mahall, Simon Toldam, and
Kresten Osgood. Whether it's through his own compositions, jazz standards, or collaborations,
Martin speaks freely through his instrument and creates music that resonates with listeners.
On Kristoffer Vejslev:
Kristoffer Vejslev's playing style is a blend of the international trends in modern jazz he acquired

he studied with Jakob Bro. As a third-generation composer, he is strongly influenced by his
father's (Jakob Vejslev) and grandfather's (Tony Vejslev) nationally-known melodies for Danish
poets, giving his melodies a robust lyrical quality. He has written over 70 compositions and
released five internationally acclaimed albums with Red Gazelle Trio, Vulture Forest, and Vejslev
Exploration Band, all featuring his original music, which has also been in rotation on the radio at
home in Denmark and abroad. He has performed concerts in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the
Netherlands, England, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and China and was recently
featured as an artist in Jazz Guitar Today....
