Carsten Dahl Solo (DK)

Carsten Dahl is one of the Danish jazz scene's greatest composers and pianists. A master of improvisation who defies genres, his music leaps from his soul to yours when he sits down at the grand piano, a Steinway D, at Musikhuset København. You will be shaken, challenged, and moved by the crystalline light that radiates from the disturbing and dark sounds in his music. Solo piano occupies a significant place in Carsten Dahl's career. He received the Danish Music Awards Jazz Prize for the best record of the year in 2004 and 2011. Here, he draws inspiration from classical pianists like Glenn Gould and jazz pianists such as Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, and Bud Powell. He cultivates improvisation to the extreme, drawing on a vast and broad knowledge of jazz. Experience an exclusive dialogue concert where the audience also gets the opportunity to ask him questions about everything that moves him.
