Thomas Clausen Trio (DK)

Thomas Clausen achieved recognition and acclaim as a composer and pianist in the late '60s. In his early years, a strong jazz influence was evident, but over the decades, he has drawn inspiration from a fusion of jazz and Brazilian music. Today, Thomas Clausen integrates classical influences into his compositions. At the concert, Thomas Clausen will demonstrate his piano skills on the Steinway D, joined by the master of the acoustic bass, Thomas Fonnesbæk, and the drumming maestro, Karsten Bagge. You will hear the authentic jazz your father enjoyed and your mother loved. Thomas Clausen received the Ben Webster Award in 1989 and has since 2013 been awarded the honorary lifelong grant from the Danish Arts Foundation. So don’t miss out on this brilliant jazz pianist and his trio.
