Luumu is the band of pianist and singer Adina Friis. She tells stories packed
into songs. A socially critical fairy tale and criticism of world events wrapped
in spherical sounds. But some are also personal stories, sometimes
melancholic or with a pinch of irony, about her own life or the life around her.
Floating, dreamy and yet down-to-earth, the four musicians combine the
sounds of lyrical jazz with folk and an archaic undertone from Scandinavia
and Ireland with the music of the 60s/70s and, if you close your eyes, it
could be film music from your own individual or imagined story.
