Horse Orchestra
Horse Orchestra is a very special band on the modern Nordic jazz scene. Comprised of musicians from Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, the septet is a unique mix of young instrumentalists who know their musical history while succeeding in opening up jazz music to a broader audience.
1920s New Orleans meets 1960s avant-garde jazz with or without dizzying beats – and detours to everything from rock to renaissance music – and creates an original, humorous, post-postmodernist style that goes far beyond jazz. With Horse Orchestra, you witness a high-energy, fun-loving party, so infectious that you happily allow yourself to be enveloped in the often rather extreme musical experiments.
