"Disappearance" just released on April Records in November 2023., Following their debut album 'Equals'
from 2022, Human Being Human continues to push the boundaries of jazz and redefine the traditional trio format.
With the jazz piano tradition as its core element, the sound of Human Being Human is full of surprises and possibilities. Passages of timeless openness, energetic, virtuosic improvisation and driving syncopated riffs intertwine with influences ranging from Bach's counterpoint to electronica and ambient music. Thoughtprovoking, complex compositions act as the engine through which the ensemble can explore their collective musicality.
The Danish group Human Being Human is a piano trio with a name that is as much a question as a
statement, where bassist-composer Torben Bjørnskov asks what it means to be human and musically
considers our need to share love and empathy.
The three musicians' distinctly different backgrounds, ages and musical identities contribute to the trio's

Esben Tjalve is a modern musician now based on London's growing jazz scene, while drummer Frederik
Bülow belongs to the new Nordic jazz generation, complete with rhythmic finesse and crossover grooves.
What unites them is their mutual respect for the melodic and melancholic tone associated with
Scandinavian jazz.
Following the concert, the night continues with DJ sets from Savi DJ & Main Phase. Savi DJ, a driving force
in the Copenhagen electronic scene, and Main Phase, known for his innovative take on UK bass culture,
will keep the energy flowing with their seamless blends of genres.
Speculations suggest the possibility of a spontaneous jam session between DJs and orchestra, offering an
added dimension of collaboration for those opting to remain, enhancing the vibrancy of the evening's
festivities.
Arranging this collaborative effort are **April Records**, a Danish record label at the forefront of Danish
Jazz and electronic music, **BSP Bispebjerg**, a label representing Copenhagen-based bass artists and
affiliates, and **H15 Scene**, providing a platform for cutting-edge music and culture in Copenhagen....
