This evening you can hear a unique collaboration with two of Danish jazz's absolute heavyweights, namely Jacob Christoffersen (piano) and Thomas Fonnesbæk (bass). They are established names on the national as well as international jazz scene, and they are both recipients of the prestigious Ben Webster Prize. The music ranges widely in a rhythmically and melodically pulsating universe, where improvisation and sublime interplay can be experienced firsthand. They offer original compositions and American standards - within the genres of modern, Nordic, ballads, swing and bebop.

Thomas Fonnesbæk (b. 1977) Danish jazz musician; bassist and composer, has for several years played his way into a world elite of jazz musicians with, among others, Monty Alexander, Christian Sands, Justin Kauflin, Aaron Parks, Enrico Pieranunzi, John Taylor, Helge Lien, Paulo Freso, Harvey Mason, Stefano Bullmondo, Adam Baldych, etc. - Ben Webster award recipient in 2021. In the home latitudes, he is, among other things, known for his duo collaboration with singer Sinne Eeg. The duo Eeg-Fonnesbæk has garnered great reviews worldwide and received a Danish Music Award in 2015. Jacob Christoffersen (b. 1967) Danish jazz musician; pianist and composer. He performs as a soloist with his own orchestra; JC Trio, as well as 'sideman' in countless band constellations and on over 100 recordings. In 2013, he was awarded the Ben Webster Prize. Over time he has performed with, among others: Majbritte Ulrikkenholm, Hanne Boel, Søs Fenger, Sanne Salomonsen, Anne Dorte Michelsen and last but not least Shu-bi-dua - for whom he played keyboard from 2001-2011. In a jazz context, he has played with e.g. Curtis Stigers, James Moody, Kenny Washington, Gregory Hutchinson, Jeff 'Tain' Watts, Joey Baron, Billy Hart, Jimmy Cobb, John Abercrombie, Scott Colley, Till Brönner, DR Big Band, Alex Riel, Chris Minh Doky, Lars Møller, Kristian Jørgensen, Lennart Ginman, Cathrine Legardh, Hans Ulrik, Tomas Franck, Jesper Thilo, Bo Stief, Jesper Lundgaard, Jens Winther, Anders Bergcrantz, Peter Asplund as well as faithful pianist for many years for the jazz singer, Sinne Eeg. www.jacobchristoffersen.com...
