Sanne Graulund (vocal/piano) is a Copenhagen based singer and composer. She studied at the Rhytmic Conservatory in Copenhagen. Sanne has released several solo albums "Context", "Totalt total", "Midt i det hele", "Better get some dreams" and with her jazztrio SHE trio she has released "Tiny Spirits" and "As simple as that". Sanne has composed score music for movies and theatre and is also musical director on theatre plays .
On her latest album CONTEXT, Sanne Graulund interprets pop hits such as Robyn's "Dancing on my own" and Radiohead's "No surprises" in toned-down, jazzy, smokey versions. She also invites the listener along to new versions of classic jazz standards such as my "My favorite things" and "The nearness of you". Jan Harbeck (saxophone) lives and breathes for his music and to tell a story with his saxophone. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg as well as New School in New York. Besides his two orchestras Jan Harbeck Quartet and Live Jive Jungle, Jan plays with numerous other orchestras. Jan Harbeck has received the Ben Webster Prize 2018.
In 2011, Jan was presented with the prestigious Danish award Bent Jædig Prize as well as Walter Klæbel Prize in 2006. Not least, Jan won a Grammy in 2009 for the best album of the year.
In 2014, Jan Harbeck Quartet released the album ‘Variations in Blue’ with Walter Smith III and the world’s leading jazz magazine DownBeat wrote the following: -Jan Granlie, SaltPeber: “Saxophonist Jan Harbeck must be one of the best within his style in the world today”. Danish newspaper ‘Politiken’ furthermore described Jan Harbeck Quartet’s show at Copenhagen Jazz Festival, in a review by music editor Thomas Michelsen: “Harbeck demonstrated, that nobody can put their soul into a jazz ballad like he can”, and previously in the same newspaper, he also wrote: “the tenor saxophone is the essential sound of jazz. The soul of the genre. Once upon a time we had Ben Webster in Copenhagen to put the soul to life again. Today we have Jan Harbeck.”
Carsten Skov(vibraphone/keys) is a danish composer, producer and vibraphone player. He studied at the Rhytmic Conservatory in Copenhagen. He has since been touring all over the world with Senor Coconut and the English hiphop-band The Herbaliser. Carsten Skov is well established on the danish jazz scene and is a true equilibrist on the vibraphone.
