Felix Moseholm and Jacob Artved learned to play jazz together when they met as young teenagers in Copenhagen and immediately became close friends. Later, they each decided to move to NYC in hopes of integrating themselves and learning about jazz on its American terms.

Since then, they have both succeeded in their common goal. Jacob has played with, among others, Louis Hayes, Billy Hart, and David Wong. Meanwhile, Felix has played with Brad Mehldau, Samara Joy, and Wynton Marsalis.

Every year, CPH Jazz has been the focal point where the two young Danes returned home and attempted to reintegrate all the new things they had learned during their time in NYC.

This year, in the same spirit, they have assembled a terrific new band consisting of two young musicians whom they believe are truly extraordinary: alto saxophonist Zoe Obadia and trombonist Nate Jones. Zoe's playing is deeply poetic, and her tone is unique and incredibly beautiful. Nate is ...
