KRYDSKLANGE: Yngel with String Quartet

Yngel travels far past known traditions, taking their creativity and guitar playing
methods to places few have gone. Through alternative playing techniques and bows made of stone, they push the boundaries of how sounds can be created on an electric guitar.
For this special concert, the duo will be joined by a string quartet, blending tones into sonic and textural soundscapes. The music exists in the soil of folk melodies, with a love for the romance of neoclassicism and the adventurous spirit of the avant-garde. Short melodies and long harmonic improvisations form the basis of their shared expression, which encompasses a fragile complexity and melancholic resonance.
Yngel consists of Emil Palme and Taus Bregnhøj-Olesen. The critically acclaimed duo has released five albums over the past few years and toured in Southeast Asia and England.
