Six City Stompers consists of young talented and renowned musicians who set a fantastically high musical level and contribute a breath of fresh air to the traditional Jazz scene.
The band mainly plays vocal jazz, with the young talented crooner and saxophonist Mads Mathias at the front, but also beautiful instrumental arrangements. Part of the music consists of golden evergreens from the American song treasure and the group's repertoire also includes its own numbers.
Their enthusiasm and joy can be clearly heard, and the Six City Stompers, with their age and enthusiasm, help to breathe new life into the scene and attract a wider and younger audience.
In the summer of 2006, Six City Stompers won the audience's first prize in "The European Championship of Traditional Jazz" in Paris, with more than twice as many votes as all other participating orchestras combined. The members of the orchestra also won several soloist awards on the same occasion.

Six City Stompers was formed in 2004, and has since toured mostly in Scandinavia, but also in other parts of Europe. They have played at most Danish jazz festivals, in large VEGA in Copenhagen and been on nationwide TV in both Denmark (DR1) and Norway (NR1).
The Six City Stompers have also taken pride in participating in several charity concerts in support of the needy music and artist community in New Orleans, post-Hurricane Katrina.
In recent years, the popular band has played sold-out concerts as a house band at Copenhagen Jazzhouse with prominent guests and has released the critically acclaimed albums "Work Around the Rules" (2008), "Miss Floridor" (2011), the children's album "Dig og mig og vi to ” (2012) and most recently “The Formula (2013). In addition, in 2013 the band was named the year's children's jazz name and won a Danish Music Award at DMA Jazz....
