Six City Stompers

Free admission

Six City Stompers consists of young talented and renowned musicians who set a fantastically high musical level and contribute a breath of fresh air to the traditional Jazz scene.
The band mainly plays vocal jazz, with the young talented crooner and saxophonist Mads Mathias at the front, but also beautiful instrumental arrangements. Part of the music consists of golden evergreens from the American song treasure and the group's repertoire also includes its own numbers.
Their enthusiasm and joy can be clearly heard, and the Six City Stompers, with their age and enthusiasm, help to breathe new life into the scene and attract a wider and younger audience.
In the summer of 2006, Six City Stompers won the audience's first prize in "The European Championship of Traditional Jazz" in Paris, with more than twice as many votes as all other participating orchestras combined. The members of the orchestra also won several soloist awards on the same occasion.
