H9 Presents: Maria Montell - Mads Mathias "Bossa Brazil afternoon"
Once again we have managed to make a very special concert for you for the occasion.
Namely a ticking energy bomb of a Bossa nova / Brazil inspired afternoon with two absolutely top names in Danish music together with a team of musicians from the top shelf.
Release the energy and remember the forbidden steps - Its Bossa Brazil afternoon with Maria Montell & Mads Mathias
Maria Montell is an established name on the Danish music scene, and has released no less than 8 albums as a soloist and songwriter. She was brought up with Jazz, as a permanent part of her childhood, it is therefore natural that Maria Montell cannot help but love jazz and the lovely evergreens that have been written throughout time.
Mads Mathias is a graduate of the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium, Copenhagen. With inspiration from the great jazz vocalists of the past and present such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr, and with deep respect for the crooner tradition, he creates his own sound and brings vocal jazz into the present.
Mads has, among other things, performed in concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall in London and The Forbidden
City in Beijing, and is also often a soloist with Danmarks Radio's Big Band. He has received countless awards,
Among other things, 'Leo Mathisen Prize' (2016), 'Svend Asmussen Prize' (2018) and 'Live Act of the Year' at DMA Jazz in 2018
See you for a blast in the afternoon in Denmark's nicest courtyard....
