In its early years, Tranquebar helped revive the tradition of street musicians in Copenhagen. From the summer of 2011 onwards, Tranquebar has played countless unannounced intimate concerts at pubs and street corners. The first took place at Fingerbøllet's pool table in Christianshavn and since then there have been many late nights and early mornings at legendary watering holes such as Lille Peter, Stefanshus, Riesen, Karusellen, Lord Nelson and Børges Bodega - in addition to the regular jazz festival gigs at HUSET.

Tranquebar has released several EPs and two albums. The latest album 'Ø' was recorded on the four Danish islands of Sejerø, Endelave, Møn and Fejø and has received critical acclaim ...
