JAZZ IN HUSET’S COURTYARD
You can experience several free jazz concerts and enjoy a cold draft beer in HUSET’s Courtyard during the entire Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
It takes place 05.07-06.07 + 08.07-13.07 at 15:30 + 17:00 + 18:30
Mass is a contemporary saxophone trio, playing original compositions with an emphasis on open improvisation and experimentation. The live experience means entering a room of intimacy and intensity, with drums and double bass creating buzzing soundscapes and frenetic grooves. The saxophone moves playfully between the above and below of the pulsating layers of syncopated rhythm. The stunning alternating of clear direction and total spontaneity radiates with creativity and curiosity, making the concert both unpredictable and one of a kind. The three young (but experienced) musicians are all part of other active groups such as Antonio Dayyani Sekstet, Efecto Mpemba, The Three Body Problem, Nordlys to name a few.
