Esben Bay Big Band

Esben Bay is a young Danish saxophonist, composer, arranger, conductor, and bandleader. In January 2025, he recorded his debut album New Limits with his big band, set to be released in July. This concert is a celebration of the album’s release and will feature music from the record as well as brand new compositions.
All music is composed and arranged by Esben Bay, drawing inspiration from modern jazz and big band arrangers such as Bob Mintzer and Jacob Mann, all the way back to the golden era of the format with Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Expect fast swing, funky grooves, tender ballads, and innovative arrangements when the Esben Bay Big Band takes the stage.
The band features well-established names from the Danish jazz scene alongside some of the most exciting up-and-coming talents from the Northern European jazz community.
