LETTERS TO GEORG is a tribute concert to the legendary bassist and composer Georg Riedel.
Riedel composed vast amounts of vibrant and curious music, including music for Astrid
Lindgren's classic films and TV series.
For this special concert, Toldam has assembled a team of strong storytelling musicians, based on
the orchestra Tak For Dit Brev, who have all been close to Georg Riedel.
The concert promises an unpredictable and intimate experience where Riedel's melodies are
interpreted with equal parts respect and anarchy. From the well-known children's songs to lesser-
known compositions for jazz octet, that Riedel performed in the company of the equally legendary
Swedish pianist Jan Johansson.
Expect a concert where both depth and playfulness meet in a tribute to one of the Nordic region's
most popular composers.
