Høk

On November 1, 2024, HØK released their debut album Ud Af Byen (“Out of the City”) — a collection of original compositions that together form an organic and reflective sonic universe.
The music lives in the borderland between modern jazz and song-based traditions reminiscent of the Danish folk high school songbook. It's narrative, down-to-earth, and full of room for exploratory interplay and improvisation that can take each piece in unexpected directions.
The music gives sound to a variety of themes — from the shifting moods of nature to reflections on deeply felt personal experiences.
Julian Svejgaard (Snooze, DR P8 Jazz) described the track Morgensang from the debut as: “Super beautiful, Nordic, atmospheric, lyrical music.”
All members of HØK have strong jazz foundations and have studied and performed both nationally and internationally.
