The British pianist and ECM artist Kit Downes visits Gaarden & Gaden with a brand-new trio. Joining him are two strong voices from the younger European jazz scene: Swedish drummer Cornelia Nilsson and bassist Thorbjørn Stefansson, currently based in New York.

Kit Downes is one of the UK’s most acclaimed jazz musicians and has released several critically acclaimed albums on ECM Records. His work spans a wide range – from solo piano and church organ to modern jazz ensembles and experimental projects. Most recently, he has significantly challenged and expanded our understanding of jazz as a featured player on the masterpiece Breaking The Shell, recorded with Bill Frisell and Andrew Cyrille.
