Blue Lake is a band led by Jason Dungan, an American musician and instrument-builder living in Copenhagen. Starting in 2019, Blue Lake began as a solo project for Dungan's compositions which moved between jazz, folk, and minimal music, using acoustic guitar, clarinet, and a self-designed 36-string zither. In 2023 Blue Lake released the album Sun Arcs, and began to perform as an ensemble, with Carolyn Goodwin, Oliver Laumann, Tomo Jacobson, and Pauline Hogstrand. In January 2025, Blue Lake released its most recent album, called Weft.
