Midi 4 is a Polish-Danish jazz quartet presenting original music that combines composed structures with open improvisation. Their sound draws from Nordic minimalism and the expressive tradition of Polish jazz, creating acoustic music.
The group released their debut album Cats, Dogs and Dwarfs in March 2024 on Alpaka Records (PL). The record showcases the band’s interest in balancing melody and texture, as well as spontaneous interaction between musicians. Midi 4 focuses on collective sound rather than individual solos, aiming for honest and direct musical expression.
