Richard Farrell has been immersed in music for as long as he can remember. Whether it’s classical, folk, jazz, blues, or soul music, it’s in his bones. His melodies and lyrics draw inspiration from Irish greats like Van Morrison and Paul Brady, alongside his musical heroes Stephen Stills and Nina Simone.

He landed in Denmark in 2015 and started out playing on the streets of Copenhagen. His musical career took off in 2018 when he won a Danish Music Award for Best Blues Album with his blues/soul project Trainman Blues — a success he repeated in 2021 with two more DMAs with the same band.

In 2023, Richard released his second solo album, Bathing In Cold Water, followed in 2024 by a series of live acoustic releases and videos under the name The Sunday Sessions.
