Ordrupgaard is a museum dedicated to French Impressionism, featuring artists such as Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Gauguin. In addition, it houses a significant collection of Danish art centered around Hammershøi and his contemporaries – as well as a series of temporary exhibitions. During Winter Jazz 2026, the museum will present the temporary exhibition “Café Society: Art and Sociability in Belle Époque Paris.”

In the park surrounding Ordrupgaard, visitors can experience works by international contemporary artists set amid beautiful natural surroundings. You can also visit Finn Juhl’s world-renowned house. Buildings designed by Zaha Hadid and Snøhetta emphasize the museum’s architectural profile and stand as works of art in their own right.

Ordrupgaard was founded by the couple Wilhelm and Henny Hansen as a private art collection. The museum is still housed in their former residence, Ordrupgaard, which was built in 1918.
