Gilsons builds on the legacy of their father and grandfather, Gilberto Gil – a key figure in the iconic tropicália movement and one of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music (Música Popular Brasileira). With their unique and warm blend of pop rock, samba, reggae and rhythms from northeastern Brazil, Gilsons has created a sound that balances the modern and the traditional.
