The legendary band Ibrahim Electric will take over REPUBLIQUE during Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026 with their explosive mix of funk, jazz and afrobeat. Over the past 20 years, Ibrahim Electric has established itself as one of the most original and popular instrumental bands on the European music scene, and has gradually achieved cult status. Their energetic, outgoing and sometimes provocative music has captivated people wherever they have performed.

Consisting of guitarist Niclas Knudsen, drummer Stefan Pasborg and Hammond organist Jeppe Tuxen, the trio has played concerts at clubs and festivals in around 25 different countries on 4 different continents, from Shanghai to Vancouver, from Monte-Carlo to Moscow and from Varanger to Casablanca. Musically, the trio moves within funk, surf, afrobeat, jazz, 50s rock 'n' roll, soul, blues and disco.
