For this year’s Jazz Festival, the Sarah Elgeti Quartet consists of:

Nils Raae (piano, harmonica) – graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music
(AM program) with jazz piano as his principal subject and has performed in many
different contexts, primarily within the jazz and fusion genres. He has released eight CDs
featuring mainly his own music and has also written for string quartet, string orchestra,
and choir.
Jens Kristian Andersen (double bass) – has previously toured with Randers Big Band,
Birgitte Laugesen, Sonic Steel, Per “Texas” Johansson, Jakob Dinesen, Kresten
Osgood, the SMKS Chamber Orchestra, among others, and has participated in four to
five projects with the Odense Symphony Orchestra during his bachelor studies at SMKS.
He has contributed to approximately 50 releases.

Rasmus Schmidt (drums) – has established himself as a versatile musician on both the
Danish and international scene. He has played and toured with a number of Danish and
international artists such as Seamus Blake, Richard Andersson, Claus Waidtløw, Artur
Tuznik, among
others, and has performed for audiences at home and abroad. With a personal touch
and a strong musical foundation, he moves confidently between different musical
settings.
