A unique space is created when the deep warmth of the upright bass meets a playful vocal. This room demands a certain openness and spontaneity and most of all a great amount of trust in each other. The 12th of July vocalist Lea Foxman and bassist August Bøegh invites the audience into this space where almost everything can happen.

Lea has fast marked herself as a new upcommer on the danish jazz scene. With her vocal brilliance and deep musicality she creates a unique sound that includes the audience.

August Bøegh is an upcoming bassist on the Scandinavian jazz scene. He is a member of the great Swedish alto saxophonist Fredrik Kronkvists quartet. He plays on the records ‘To The Bone’, ‘Rød Sol’ and ‘Lysning’. In May he will record his first album as a Leader featuring some of Europas best jazz musicians: Rasmus Sørensen and Fabrizio Doberti among others.
