Remembering the Great Danes
Jesper Løvdal took his first musical steps in Ib Glindemann’s big band and has since played in the orchestras of Hugo Rasmussen, Marilyn Mazur, Niels Jørgen Steen, and Daimi. It is spontaneity and the pure joy of music that the audience will experience when the melodic and swinging Jesper Løvdal performs this afternoon.

Jesper Løvdal has assembled a powerful ensemble of young, award-winning musicians who engage in an exciting "Jazz Ping-Pong." Expect more wind instruments on stage because, as heard on his countless recordings, Løvdal is a master of a wide range of instruments.

This concert reaches back to the Golden Age of Danish Jazz, featuring some of the tracks made famous and beloved by the likes of Hugo Rasmussen, Jesper Thilo, and Bent Jædig.
