Lea Havelund’s music moves freely and effortlessly between Nordic folk, jazz, tango, and classical influences. As a singer, cellist, and composer, she creates a poetic and virtuosic universe where her warm vocals and distinctive cello playing are closely interwoven. With her classical background, instinctive musicality, and a keen ear for genre-defying expression, she stands out as an original and deeply personal composer and arranger.
Lea Havelund has appeared in a wide range of music theatre productions, including at Østre Gasværk, Folketeatret, Malmö City Theatre, and the Royal Danish Theatre. She has also collaborated with prominent musicians such as Nikolaj Hess, Anders “AC” Christensen, Gustaf Ljunggren, and Bo Stief’s New Dreams Trio featuring Poul Halberg and Alex Riel, as well as Bjarke Falgren, Åkervinda, and the international ensemble Atlas.
