A LITTLE HUMAN, Jason Shooster mfl. (DK)
Jason Shooster (guitar), Laurits Høgel (piano), Tomas Raae (double bass), and Johan Dynnesen (drums) form a Copenhagen-based quartet. With a playful and fresh approach to the jazz manouche tradition, they reimagine its sound through a dynamic sense of interplay, creating a vibrant and intimate musical universe. Their sound pays tribute to Django Reinhardt’s legacy while remaining distinctly their own.
As established musicians on the Danish jazz scene, they have performed with artists such as Jacob Fischer, Thomas Fryland, Fessor, Bob Rockwell, and Kira Martini.
Their debut album, A Little Human!, released in spring 2025, captures the spirit of swing and early bebop while drawing inspiration from world and folk music. The band’s second album, Generations, is set for release in summer 2026 and further showcases their evolving sound, rooted in tradition
